Thanks to everyone who came out to our first ever brunch event this past Sunday!
For a few hours, we took over a part of Capital Boulevard and the south of Centennial Plaza next to the renovated Federal Building. Attendees enjoyed a pristine view of the Legislature Building from the grounds, and the ample seating spaces on the square. The rain clouds even held off for the most part that afternoon.
Fourteen food trucks served up brunch-inspired dishes, ranging from breakfast pizza to French toast to cereal ice cream sandwiches.
We were fortunate to have DJs Thomas Culture and Polyesterday back with us – their tunes had people dancing in the street!
It was our first event offering attendees the opportunity to win a Golden Ticket. If you didn’t make it down, don’t worry – we’ll have two more events this season where you can enter for your chance to earn a front-of-the-line pass for our September What the Truck?!.
We also debuted our new What the Truck?! branded jackets at this event – if you have any questions, just look for an organizer in yellow!
As always, our events are supported by tireless volunteers who help manage waste and maintain the cleanliness of the site. Sunday was no different – thank you to everyone who pitched in!
Sponsors were also key to this event. A big thank you to our in-kind sponsors:
Hope to see you at our next event on July 10, 2015, from 5-10pm at Northlands!
