Saturday May 28 & Sunday May 29, 2016 was the first What the Truck?! food truck Extravaganza event of 2016.
When we started planning this event, (our largest so far), we knew that 40 – 50 food trucks each day for 2 days, would require an outstanding volunteer crew.
Many hands make light work; we are so grateful to the 84 helping hands we had this past weekend. Our May 2016 volunteer crew was comprised of:
6 returning volunteers – thank you, old friends, for your continued support.
7 new volunteers – (including 2 family groups with youths) – thank you, new friends, we hope you come out again.
1 DJ- thank you DJ EK for spinning some great tunes on Saturday.
6 Edmonton Food Bank volunteers – thank you to Susan for coordinating your team.
12 Red Shoe Society Northern Alberta volunteers – (including 1 family group with a youth) – thank you to Greg, Monica & Aimee for coordinating your team.
7 St John Ambulance volunteers – we love having St John on site for the safety and welfare of all of our attendees.
3 What the Truck?! family members – if you are married or related to a WTT organizer, you are always on volunteer standby. 😉
Thank you to all the volunteers; you helped to make the 1st What the Truck?! event of 2016 a smash success.
If YOU would like to volunteer for What the Truck?! this year please send an email to team@whatthetruck.ca.
Our next event is June 18, 2016 at Blatchford Field, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. We welcome you to come out and join us as an attendee or to come out to lend a hand and volunteer.
What the Truck?! is 100% volunteer organized and executed because: #volunteeringisFUN.
